Vertical Blinds Fitted – Meadow Dove: James Restrick, Peak Blinds
Recently, we installed Vertical Blinds fitted in Matlock for a local customer in the Matlock area. This customer was looking to add the finishing touches to their newly painted walls.
After an initial consultation with Peak Blinds, the customer liked the idea of these 89mm Blinds. 89mm is the width of each vertical slat, but they are also available in a 127mm slat width. This tends to be an industry-standard width for Vertical Blinds.
By choosing to install these blinds, our customer is able to adjust the level of each blind independently, whilst still being able to see out of the windows adequately, as well as allowing enough light into the building.

They decided upon the fabric “Meadow Dove”, which as with most Blinds, offers protection from the glare of the sun, but still affords plenty of light through the window.
The Benefits of Vertical Blinds
The blinds themselves all had right-hand controls, but when opened, all the slats “stacked” to the left. This is just one option with Vertical Blinds, as the controls can be put on either side, and they can stack either left or right, and can also split in the middle so that slats stack either side (commonly known as bi-part).
We used the standard “top fix” brackets to fit into the top window reveal, and standard chain tidy to affix the cord and chain to the sides.
