Bi – Part Blinds: James Restrick, Peak Blinds
Peak Blinds have recently finished a job at Lime Tree Holiday Park in Buxton. We fitted some Bi – Part, vertical blinds. These blinds were fitted using standard face fix brackets, the blinds were installed in some new, all wooden pods. The fabric chosen is called Colourtex Forest. This fabric is fire resistant which is handy for the wooden pods commercial use. Every single one of these blinds slats is exactly 89mm long.
Bi – Part Blinds
This type of blind opens in the middle, instead of from either one of the sides. These blinds act the same as vertical blinds but move in both directions, rather than moving to one side
Although different from other blinds, when opening it has similarities, for instance, the controls are on the right-hand side. The controls allow you to manipulate the amount of sunlight that you want in the room, this function is similar to the one that Venetian blinds have.
These Bi blinds came with a chrome chain for adjusting the angle of the slats and a standard nylon string that operates the opening and closing of the blinds.
We secured the chrome chain and nylon string with a chain tidy that is attached to the wall (screwed in place), this ensures that there are no free-hanging cords that someone can become tangled or trapped in. The chain tidy is great for keeping the chain out of the way of children.
